Join us for a community workshop on April 30 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM to participate in the process of developing a new Strategic Operating Plan (SOP) for Middletown Public Schools. This is THE document that will drive the District's work for the next three years (2024-2027). This one-hour session will include an overview of the process and facilitated small group discussions to build out ideas for ways to make MPS better. Your participation will help us identify key priorities, drive practice across our schools, and ensure the representation of all voices within our community. Participants will be called to further consider the balance of our mindsets and moves as both inquiry and managerial leaders engaging in an inquiry process that compares systems and reflects on the cultures that we are trying to cultivate. Some big questions we’ll tackle: - What dispositions and mindsets are necessary for our roles as we lead with a lens of inquiry? - What are the ways we empower ourselves and our teachers towards a more reflective practice? - What are the small and big ways we nurture an environment of inquiry? - How can we honor the agency of “our learners” while moving our programmes and schools towards sustainable growth?" 40th All City Music Festival TOMORROW: Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 6:00 PM Freeman Athletic Center at Wesleyan University Featuring Band & Choral Ensembles from all 10 of our district schools: Bielefield Elementary School, Farm Hill Elementary School, Lawrence Elementary School, Macdonough Elementary School, Moody Elementary School, Snow Elementary School, Spencer Elementary School, Wesley Elementary School, Beman Middle School, and Middletown High School.

Our first-ever Beman Family Game Night was a huge success! THANK YOU to the Beman's Admin Team and our Secondary Math and ELA Supervisors for hosting a great family event on March 20, 2024. This was a community supported event -- we had food catered by our MPS food services, raffles for Middletown business gift cards, and support for Back Again Board Game Cafe in Middletown. There were easily over 100 participants. It was a great time with many staff members who attended, as well. #MPS4ALL #MPSFutureMakers
