From Beman's 6M pod: We signed our Sandy Hook Promise contract and completed our "See Something Say Something" Training. Each student signed a contract and traced and designed a hand in which we turned into a heart to display our contract in our hallway.

Beman Career Day, April 10, 2026 - Looking for volunteers

WE NEED YOUR HELP

On Friday, April 10, 2026, Beman Middle School will be hosting a CAREER DAY for our 8th grade students. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to share information about their careers. The purpose of this program is to acquaint students with a variety of career opportunities and the skills and training necessary for success.

Our program will run in the afternoon on this day (12:30-2:40pm). Presenters will be located throughout the 8th grade classrooms. Students will be scheduled to visit 3 careers based on their interest. Presenters are encouraged to bring in visual aides and/or interactive demonstration materials.

If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering in our program, please email or complete and return the bottom portion of this letter. You can contact Erin Scholes, Innovation Coordinator at scholese@mpsct.org .

The deadline to sign up for Beman Nights at Powder Ridge has been extended until December 20th. The discounted rates are for anyone interested, students, siblings, parents and friends. Come join us for 6 Friday nights starting January 9th.

Ski, Snowboard, & Tubing - BEMAN Nights @ Powder Ridge

Ann Anderson is the contact person for students who would like to take lessons, go tubing, or just get lift tickets for Beman Friday nights at Powder Ridge in Middlefield starting January 9th at 4pm. It is for 6 weeks. Here is the link for Parents to sign up their child. Parents, siblings and friends can also take advantage of the discounted rate. Only students taking lessons need to get there @ 4, but when signing up please use the 4 pm slot.
